這本應該算是女獵夜者的番外篇吧!!
劇情承續著第四集結束後發展，Cat的好友Denise週遭的親戚陸陸續續去世，她發現這些人的死與她的一名親戚與惡魔做了交易有關，而這惡魔也找上了她，要求她找出這名親戚，否則就要將她變成惡魔。
不想害好友Cat因幫忙她而得與她一樣承受喪夫之痛，Denise找上了鐵鍬，而這位與Bones同期的吸血鬼也因此愛上了她。
作者在這本書中介紹了另一種超自然生物--惡魔，他可是比吸血鬼厲害，不僅可以再生(連頭斷了都還能再生出一顆頭咧~~)，除了一把小刀外，可說是無敵的。
看了這本一定會愛上鐵鍬，而劇情的發展也十分的流暢，還有不少額外的驚喜哩！
